Operator and eligibility

These Terms describe the rules for using CocoCircles, operated by CocoCircles LLC. These Terms are effective 2026-10-09. Merely viewing this page does not record agreement.

Accounts are for adults aged 18 or older. Do not create a child account, impersonate someone, share sign-in credentials or use the service if you are not authorized to manage the information you provide. Child profiles are records managed by authorized adults, not accounts for children.

SMS verification

SMS verification update effective October 1, 2026.

CocoCircles offers optional, user-requested one-time account verification codes by text to eligible US and Canada mobile numbers when phone sign-in is available in the app. To opt in, enter your number on the mobile app sign-in screen, select the separate, initially unchecked SMS consent control, and choose Send code. Checking the control alone does not send a text. This verification program does not send marketing texts. Message frequency varies with your requests and abuse limits. Message and data rates may apply for messages sent to you and messages you send to us. Delivery is not guaranteed or immediate; your mobile carrier is not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.

Text HELP for help or STOP to cancel messages. Messages are delivered through our SMS delivery provider. For verification messages sent from numbers that provider manages, STOP responses are informational and do not create a permanent block on future codes you request. A new code request in CocoCircles requires the separate SMS consent control and Send code action. Replying STOP does not delete your account or its enrolled phone number. Use email sign-in instead if you do not want verification texts. Contact admin@joincococircles.com without signing in for help with unwanted messages or your account. Ask your wireless provider about your text or data plan. See the Privacy Policy for phone-number and consent-record handling.

A phone-only account can lose access if its number is lost or reassigned. Verification proves current access to a number; it cannot establish who used that number previously. Keep control of your sign-in number and use another sign-in method already connected to your account if available. We do not promise that a separate sign-in method can be added or that a phone-only account can be recovered without its number. Existing accounts are not merged automatically by phone number. Viewing these Terms does not record SMS consent.

Verification messages from CocoCircles are powered by AWS Notify.

Community rules

Do not post illegal content, child sexual abuse material, sexual exploitation, threats, harassment, bullying, hate, fraud, spam or private information you have no right to share. Obtain the rights/permissions needed for photos, voice and information about other families. Do not bypass access controls, abuse AI allowances or interfere with the service.

Report objectionable content using the app's report controls and block abusive parents where appropriate. Authorized reviewers may examine reported material and remove content or restrict accounts under the moderation rules. Private chats are not a place to evade these rules. For immediate danger, contact local emergency services; the app/support mailbox is not an emergency service.

Your content and shared records

You retain rights you hold in your content. To provide the service and handle safety reports, you permit us to store, process, display and deliver content to people you authorize through its features. This does not transfer ownership. You must have permission to supply content or roster records and respect other people's privacy.

Choose sharing carefully. Home and Circle roles, profile locks and child controls govern in-app access. Public event links and eligible public cover/Circle images can be copied by anyone who obtains them. Removing content cannot recover a copy someone saved outside the service.

AI, maps and reminders

CocoAssist and capture/voice outputs can be inaccurate. Review dates, times, locations, participants and proposed actions before confirming. AI is not professional medical, legal or emergency advice. Maps, travel times, weather and notifications are estimates or dependent on other services; verify important plans independently.

Optional AI features have bounded allowances and availability rules. Do not submit passwords, unnecessary sensitive information or content you have no authority to process. Ordinary answers do not change plans; saving a proposed plan requires your confirmation.

Free and Plus

Plus sharing update effective October 3, 2026.

CocoCircles has two plans. Every Home starts on Free, which includes every feature with monthly AI allowances. Plus is an optional paid subscription for one Home. It raises the Home's shared AI allowances and provides personal Plus benefits to two selected guardian parents. Other guardians and helpers keep their Home permissions and Free personal benefits. Circles, events, RSVPs, messages, invites and safety tools are never paid features. What each plan includes is shown in the app before you buy.

The subscriber, while a current guardian, chooses whether to share Plus when inviting a parent and can change the selected parents in Plan & usage. A transfer to an existing parent takes effect immediately; a transfer by invitation takes effect when an eligible parent accepts. The previous parent's remaining monthly allowance transfers without restarting it. An adult's personal monthly maximum does not increase by receiving Plus from several Homes. Home membership and child permissions remain separate from Plus benefits.

A guardian of a Home can buy Plus in the app through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The price, billing period and any free trial are shown before you confirm, and the store charges you under its own terms. A free trial is offered only to people the store considers eligible; unless you cancel before it ends, the paid subscription starts and you are charged. Joining, signing in or reading these Terms does not start a subscription.

Plus renews automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period until you cancel. Cancel at any time in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings; on the App Store, cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next charge. Cancelling stops renewal, and Plus continues until the end of the period already paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.

A subscription covers the one Home it was bought for and is managed by the adult who bought it. If that adult leaves the Home or deletes their account, the Home keeps Plus until the paid period ends and then returns to Free unless another guardian subscribes. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription; cancel it in your store account. We may change plans, prices or allowances for future periods; a price change follows the store's notice and consent rules.

Account controls, safety and availability

You may leave a Home/Circle or request account deletion. Read the deletion consequences: shared family records may remain for other adults, hosted Circle events may be cancelled, and safety/backup copies have separate treatment. The Privacy Policy and Account deletion instructions explain these limits.

Service availability, feature configuration and safety restrictions may change. Access may be restricted for misuse, legal duties or security reasons. The service does not guarantee that another parent will respond, attend, receive a notification or keep an external copy private. These Terms do not limit rights or remedies that applicable law does not allow us to limit.

Changes, law and contact

Applicable law governs disputes and preserves any non-waivable consumer protections. These Terms do not require arbitration, waive class actions or set a liability cap. We will date material changes here and provide notice or seek renewed consent where required by applicable law.
